Imagine the following dialogue:
“So you are from here?”
“I live here.”
“But you are not from here?”
“Did I grow up here? No.”
“But your family is here now?”
“Oh, no. No one I am related to lives within 500 miles.”
“But you went to school here?”
“No. In Virginia. Then New York.”
“And you are not married to someone here.”
“Nope.”
“Then (dramatic pause): WHY?”
